We are wounded in relationship and we heal in relationship.

Psychotherapy Services and Techniques

Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine and cannabis can be tools to be used within a trusting therapeutic relationship to catalyze healing in stuck places like treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, addiction, and anxiety. Ketamine and cannabis are legal medicines that induce a non-ordinary state of consciousness to disrupt old habit loops and the Default Mode Network of the brain, allowing for new perspectives and healing. I approach this work from a somatic and relational approach, assisting you to resolve trauma through nervous system release and healing. If you want to participate in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, you will need a medical intake from the prescriber with whom I work. We will have several prep sessions, followed by a series of 2-3 hour medicine sessions, and ongoing integration sessions.

Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based trauma resolution therapy. It operates on the philosophy that current symptoms (e.g. negative thoughts, painful emotions and sensations, dissociation, self-destructive behaviors, etc.) are the result of unprocessed memories that have not been stored properly in our memory system in the brain. My specialty includes training in how the body holds trauma and how attachment styles develop. Click here to learn more.

Gestalt Therapy

As humans, we attempt to meet ours and others’ needs by working with our own internal supports and limitations as well as the supports and limitations of our external environment. Gestalt is a therapeutic approach that takes into account your current context and historical background, honors your creativity and self-healing capacities, and encourages personal responsibility for your choices through moment-to-moment awareness practices. This is an experiential approach, which means I’ll invite you to practice new ways of relating to yourself in session, because change only happens here and now. At its core, Gestalt is about taking ownership for disowned parts and cultivating wholeness in your life.

Internal Family Systems

IFS is an integrative approach which focuses on healing the relationships between parts and the core Self. IFS posits that each of us is made up of parts (like voices in a choir) and each of us experiences a core Self (like the conductor of the choir). A core tenet of IFS is that every part has a positive intent, even if its actions are counterproductive and/or cause dysfunction. There is no need to fight with, coerce, or eliminate parts; the IFS method promotes internal connection and harmony to bring the mind and body back into balance. Please note: Although I participate in ongoing informal training and research in this technique, I am not officially trained or certified in this technique.
